Dr. Alicia Hong led an interdisciplinary team and received a seed grant of $50,000 from College of Health and Human Services for a research project entitled “Prototype development of EARBUD: A Wearable Sensor System for Dietary Monitoring and Personalized Intervention”. This study aims to develop a prototype of a wearable sensor system (earbuds) to track dietary intake for personalized nutrition intervention. Other key personnel includes Drs. Hong Xue and Larry Cheskin of CHHS and Dr. Gang Zhou from College of William and Mary.
